Well it's preventing me from being able to register or reserve a hotel room, since I don't know if I'll be alone or not.

You all that have booked rooms already - did you book through Sat night or Sun night?

I can tell you this much Block...I have gotten to know Jason and Mark well.......

If they say something is worth the wait......you can bet your butt, it will be EPIC!!! :peace:

I'm booked through sunday too

Also i'm confident to say it will be a good time... with each event i've attended, they have only gotten better. Steer clear of ShooterAMG after sunset and you will be good to go.

Awww come on now....Todd (Shooter) is awesome......

As long as he does not have access to Creamed Corn or has to go Poop near a campfire......

On a practical side, anyone can bring BBQ brickets....Todd makes his own!

Here is the best deal I could find on the handheld ***** mentioned.

Wouxun KG-UV6D

Comes with programming cable, power adapter, and a remote speaker. Almost worth the $20 to get the whole package.

I believe kanakry has a cheaper alternative for the handheld. I ran the wouxon and later upgraded to icom hardwired kit . It would be nice to have a handheld too, for when out of the truck, and guiding others for jump pics etc. I do recommend the uv6g but wouldnt mind hearing more about a cheaper option as well.

Would a 4ft antenna work alright? Seems a bit much for what may be encountered on a trail.

Antenna length depends on the type of antenna, it's a base plane antenna or not. If it is, it needs to be trimmed to length to match your frequency utilization
