Ok, I'm pretty confused at this point. Original post says 9 pounds per corner and doesnt have a direct link to any particular product. But clicking around gets me here as my best guess:

Price $300 front & $300 rear.

(Although this does not say its for the raptor, and it does not say the weight, so I'm still not sure if this is the product that was originally being talked about with 9 pounds per corner.)


Then, later on in this thread, this link comes along and it says these are for the raptor

RB Front Two-piece rotor for Ford F-150

But the weight savings shows only 7.9 pounds per corner, and they are $945/ pair :eek:

Can someone please clarify WTF is going on here?

The stoptech rotors are just slotted and drilled OEM blanks... the RB rotors are lightweight 2 piece rotors. Yes they are $$ but quality parts usually are.

Yes Sir,

Here is what our brake upgrade line-up for F150

1. 350/348mm - Stock replacement. We offer a light weight Heavy Duty 4-pot aluminum caliper kit replacing OE heavy and bulky caliper. Since our light weight 2pc are made to the same specs as OE, so you can opt the RB kit (front only), just 2pc rotors, or just calipers - Very flexible.

2. 380/348mm - Oversized front RB brake kit and matching rear stock size 2pc (348mm) - retain rear OE calipers & emergency brake.

3. 390/390mm - A Complete RB brake kits - Our standard 19" heavy duty kit built for Heavy SUV/Truck (Mercedes ML63 AMG, Jeep G-C SRT8, Cayenne etc.)

Depending on your wheel sizes and what you like to achieve, RB has more brake upgrade options for your choice.

Man, RB really needs to get their story straight. First they advertise front OEM weight as 28.6 and RB front weight as 19.6 and rear OEM as 26 and RB rear weight as 16.5

This math would have been a total weight savings of 37 pounds.


Then, if you look at this page:
RB Calipers & Iron Rotor Brake Kit for Ford 09-17 F-150/Raptor (2570 & 2571)

They advertise front OEM weight as 28.6 compared to RB front of 21 listed on the chart (but scale shows 20.705) and rear OEM as 25 compared to RB rear of 15.7 listed on the chart (scale shows 15.735)..

So I understand the rounding of the scale in the chart, but the rounding should at least be the same significant figures (front should say 20.7 not 21 for front RB). But if you add the numbers in the chart, the total weight savings would be 33.8. However, the chart shows a weight savings of 34.4. Where the **** did that number come from? Because even if you take the exact scale numbers (assume the scale for the rears is exactly whats on the chart because well, they don't show the rear OEM on a scale), the total weight savings would be 34.32.

And none of that covers why the discrepancy of how the OEM weight differs by 2 pounds total of the original pictures vs the last link. I understand the original estimated weight of the CAD model maybe was estimated for the product before it was actually conceived, but how did the stock weight change? It has nothing to do with the RB changes.

And why cant these all be weighed on the same scale? Its just a tad suspect when different equipment is being used to measure the RB vs the OEM.

Sorry if this is all too technical, but your company does not look professional at all with so many discrepancies. Just trying to help you because whoever put together your info was hella sloppy. I'm guessing they were probably a marketing guy and not an engineer. However, doesn't take an engineer to do such simple math and get your story straight.

This works with 17" wheels but the larger (380mm) rotors will not?

Now I'm confused - the link above shows a 6 piston front caliper and you are saying it is a 4 pot caliper? Which is it then? I am wanting to keep 17" wheels, stock ones to be exact, and also run upgraded calipers and rotors. I would hesitate to call it a BBK since it isn't bigger, just better. I was under the impression your kit was 6 piston front, 4 piston rear with OE sized rotors... use stock or your OE replacement.
