Chrysler Announces Shift to ZF 8HP 8-Speed Automatic Transmission

Chrysler and ZF have reached an agreement that will see Chrysler use ZF's 8HP 8-speed automatic transmission in its cars and trucks, possibly including Ram full-size pickups.

Hey, as long as Chrysler makes a good one that'll be nice. But since the government owns the majority of the company I have zero confidence in anything they're doing...

The crap five speed in the mopars is one of my biggest complaints with the line... good on Chrysler.
