No luck.
I pierced the wire with a 12v power lead but no lights came on.
I confirmed power was there via second probe that showed 12V.
All I ended up doing is resetting all my personal setting for the truck by unplugging that connector.
Looks like I will run the wire.

Good news is while I was under there I put a volt meter in where the dash mount 12V cigarette lighter was. Wired in to keyed ignition and now I finally have a volt meter on board.
