I don't yet own a Raptor. Never owned a truck (or SUV) of any kind. I drive a 535 xi wagon, track a Cayman S and baby a '88 M6. I recently have been having a strong yearning for a pick-up truck. Before buying anything, I do tons of research (which most of you probably do too - that's why you're on a forum). After many months, I've decided that it MUST be a Raptor!

Now I just need to better understand the differences between the model years '09 to '14 (if any). I've seen and read about the 2nd gen '17 and I think I'd rather get the 1st gen. I most likely won't ever be jumping this truck, but I may tow stuff (most likely other cars), and I will do some basic off-roading. I might want to do some simple snow plowing too (can you even put a plow on these?)

Mostly, I just want to hear the v8 rumble.

I would appreciate any links to specific threads that might be helpful.

Thanks!!
Frank

Model years are 2010-2014....GEN1 2017-GEN2...
You can tow a car with proper set up. Not so sure about plowing snow. You can for sure plow through the snow, however.
