I recently saw that one of my tie rod dust covers is torn and wanted to see if any one has replaced theirs with a aftermarket or modified one like with a dirt bike rubber fork tube protector (pictured). I have the Rogue tie rods and everytime I get an alignment, the shop guys have to pull on the dust cover to adjust and tighten the end nuts, I'm assuming that's how it got torn.

@RDFTS Do you have these? What kind of tie rods do you have?

I do have them but ended up not using them. I keep one in my toolkit for emergency though. I have the SDHQ tie rods and they were just slightly large for this tie rod. I would think they would work good on the Rogue though. They are a softer rubber than the hard plastic stock ones.

Would these boots from sdhq work with RPG tie rods? It doesn't look like they are large enough on rack side.
