Rust Proofing My Raptor

Any ideas on rust proofing my Raptor?...Live in the Chicago area where we only have two seasons...Construction season and winter...Would the skid plates underneath prevent aftermarket rustproofing?...Haven't gotten my truck yet so not really sure what that undercarriage looks like. Thanks

I would like to hear what everyone thinks too. On some of my older vehicles I sprayed the underside down with used oil. Dont really want to do that with my raptor.
