My side steps have faded!!!

Any recommdations on how to bring back the black color to metal powder coated side steps? Mine have become ***** looking.

actually, the best thing I have found is steam cleaning them. find a local car wash guy who has a steam cleaner they use on floor mats, and use that on your running boards, it makes them look brand new.

i got tired of mine getting that look, so i just got them sprayed in line-x premium. glad i did it.

I just use my pressure washer with a foam cannon and then give them a good rinse and they look new again.
