Lol going to a mode that is made for the dirt is totally going to be awesome on pavement.... Haha have you ever driven a vehicle off road in your life? Most off road modes hold onto the gear you're in until you hammer the pedal down. Definitely not gonna be the mode with the fastest gear shifts

No their not admitting anything, they know they won't sell Mustang GT's running anything but a V8 for now, try selling a hot roder on a V6. Won't happen, muscle cars have V8's period, part of the allure is the exhaust note, the Raptor is more of a localized specialty truck, yes it's a performance truck, but what is the ratio of those that go off road vs those which are nothing more than status symbol pavement cruisers? Ford knows this, Ford will sell way more Mustang GT's than Raptors and no matter how they spin it, it won't sell well with a V6, supercharged, turbo'd or whatever, it's been tried before by the manufacturers trying to pass off a 6 or even a 4 as performance muscle car only to die in show rooms.

That's why I got a 14 instead of waiting for the new model...rumors were V6 and 10 speed tranny....glad I bought when I did...not sure if it's true or not but I heard somewhere that the Gen 1 raps values went up after the announcement of the ecoboost...anyone else hear this

they didn't necessarily go up, but they are holding their value better than they would have if the gen 2 had a v8 just because so many folks insist on only owning V8's.

Which works out great for me, my gen 1 is holding it's value well, so it'll be worth more when I trade it in or sell it for a gen 2 lol

Ford evidently has a very big very expensive problem with the new F-150:

Ford

I read an article yesterday at Jalopnik about the Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost becoming slower...

The Ford Mustang EcoBoost Is Getting Slower: Report (Updated)

Ford believes it is driver related and could very well be that... still interesting and I do wonder if Ford is playing with the calibration to meet government standards?

It would explain why Ford is taking so long to give us actual numbers for thew new EB Raptor...
