Picked her up two weekends ago and started off with a few minor tweaks to make her mine. This is a great forum and I hope my small contributions will help someone along the way.

So far I’ve installed a Bak Flip, a DuHu under seat storage, a Hellwig sway bar, and an AMP bed extender. Still need to install the LEDs in the front bumper and get those wired up. From there I may throw on some 20’s but I have to admit so far I am enjoying the smooth quiet ride so I may stick with it for a while.

I’m really thrilled with the truck so far and will update this thread as I make changes or have anything to share.

A few photos in sort of random order...and a garage pic.

This is the bed extender I installed. I am really happy with it and installation was a breeze with the no-drill installation kit (purchased separately).

A couple of the rear sway. Took about 90 minutes by myself and in no hurry.

And the Du-Ha storage bin really creates a ton of storage space under the rear seat!

Installation of the BakFlip was a piece of cake and I am happy with how I was able to cut the drainage pipe they included to get a nice clean install that doesn't hang down in the way.

And these will go in sometime this weekend...really looking forward to this mod!

And finally a gratuitous garage photo (yes, they all need baths).

I had a rear sway bar on my 2011 KR and really liked how it helped flatten it out in corners. I realize these are trucks and not corner carvers but the rear sway really does help the truck handle better. I am not a big off roader as I live in south TX and I can always disconnect it if I want to do any serious offroading. So far I really like it.

Thanks on the car...it's a 1992 968 which was the model after the 944.

Making progress on the LED's. Install of the brackets and lights themselves wasn't difficult but certainly would be easier with smaller hands. Going to search the forum now to help me with the wiring.

Looked at a YouTube video and some of the threads on the forum on got them all wired up. I may circle back and replace the connectors with something more robust and then shrink wrap the taped areas but overall it works great and I am happy with the result.

A few pics I took along the way:

It's a good idea to mark what wires goes where!

I took the plastic cover off over the radiator area and the wires tucked in there nicely.

I had some connectors lying around so I just used them for now and they allow me to easily disconnect and reconnect if needed.

The unused ground is right there in the area so I just used that.

The final product (for now anyway).

I wired each matched pair (inside, middle, outside) to a separate switch. So 3 switches total for the 6 lights.

They work!

Figured I would update with my just installed 40” curved LED light on the front bumper. I didn’t want to drill into the front bumper so I used the mounting brackets from ZRoadz and paired those with a Rough Country - 76240 - 40-inch Dual Row X5 Series Curved CREE LED Light Bar.

The install was pretty straight forward and I’m pretty happy with the results. The front camera is half blocked but I think I can deal with that. If I change my mind I’ll do something different or relocate the camera. I definitely have plenty of front facing light now!
