Eating Torque Converters.

I'm hearing that the last batch of torque converters are spitting their balance weights off and doing some pretty big damage to flex plates, starters, and transmissions. Anyone have any problems with theirs?
I pick mine up in 7 days and I'm reconsidering selling my daily driver in case my Raptor ends up in the shop for a month.

No issues, actually the trans has gotten very smooth

While a different transmission, my '13 ate the torque convertor at only 5500 miles and my truck was seriously babied! It sat at the dealership for 37 days while they threw stuff at it until something finally stuck...It was super frustrating and is one of the reasons I sold the truck and am reluctant to give a Gen 2 a chance just yet! I love the Raptors but it seems like Ford needs to get some of their systems worked out a bit better.

Nice thing about the new 10 speed is a number of Ford and GM vehicles use it, so if there's an inherent design defect it SHOULD get identified and fixed fairly quickly.

I think he was referring to the reports of multiple torque converter problems, not Ford and GM collaborating on the transmission :Big Laugh:
