I agree with what's being said.

One thing that I would like to touch on, is that if you get a King Ranch, everytime you see a Raptor pass by, you will feel a slight discomfort. You will question your decision. You will try to justify as to why you didn't get a Raptor, instead.

You will live with regret.

If you buy a Raptor, everytime you see a King Ranch pass by, you will have zero regrets. You will know that you have made the right decision.

Life always has the propensity to throw you regrets. Don't let this be a needless one.

Also, thank you for serving Our Country.

One last point: The depreciation angle is also a safety net. If life throws you a shit sandwich, and you need to sell it, you may end up walking without being upside down. There is no freaking way that you could ever do that with a King Ranch. You'd be tied to it.

Do you have the ability to go TDY Overseas for 30 days or more? If YES, do what I'm doing and but the Raptor through the Military Car Sales and save a ton. I bought a 2011 Harley Davidson F150 in Germany and saved over 15k. I'm so glad Ford appreciates the Military!

Truth. Whenever I see a King Ranch, I never think again about it. I did when I had the KR and saw a Raptor. On the road, I never regret seeing other trucks even if mine is older. My only regret is when I go to Raptor events and see all the other Raptors that are built more than mine, but then again that's what gives me inspiration to do more.

I'm a wife and mother of four. When I was looking for my forever truck, husband steered me towards a 2012 Raptor over a newer, fairly loaded XLT (really wanted a 250 diesel but couldn't afford it, lol). I haven't gone mudding or desert racing so it's definitely not getting used to its potential. With that said do what my husband always says, "Get what you want the first time." Buy the Raptor.

2 different pickups IMO. The King Ranch is a really nice place to sit...probably rides nice and is easy to drive. The Raptor is a purpose built machine that should be just as at home doing 90 through the desert as it is doing 90 in the highway.

As for the reliability of the TTV6, this is purely speculation, but I would bet money that the major manufacturers wouldn't let a motor out if their factories that couldn't do at least 100k with little maintenance. Im sure there is nothing to worry about on that.
