I joined this forum after seeing this tread, unfortunately I didnít find it until now. I bought a set of raptor wheels that had the silver beauty rings. Well I took them to a local rim shop to powder coat them like the SE beauty rings. It wasnít cheap, and the first time I put them on, all the holes cracked or flaked off. I was told it was sandblasted and the SVT was hand painted red. This was very expensive to fail the very first time I put them on. I assume powder coating should be much stronger than this. What could have been the issue? I torqued the bolts to 47 ft lbs and went slow. Are O-rings necessary to keep this from happening?

This paint matches flares almost perfectly. I have repainted my damaged flares and you would not be able to tell me which one. I painted my beauty rings with it and prefer paint over powder coating because when I damage them, I can just reshoot them.
