Cutout smell???

I put a cutout in behind the resonator and while im driving and after i park I get a smell that i would compare to burning rubber sort of. Has anyone experienced this? Im wondering if the hot air out from the cutout is burning a rubber bushing or gasket somewhere down there? I haven't gotten a chance to get down there and poke around yet.

Something is burning--better find out what it is quick. One of the hazards of trying to sound cool.

Could also just be the oil burning off it. Just like a new exhaust system

If there was it would not take but maybe a 15 minute drive to burn it off..

I have a buddy, JLatigo, who had a turndown installed and it exhausted right over the emergency brake cable. It took about a week to melt the plastic cover, but the cable is fine. Silly installers not knowing what they are doing.
