    @billj214

    Have you been able to install the PAC and are you able to provide any feedback on it?

    EDIT: I saw a page up that you have had it installed and seem to be happy with it. After about a month of using it, are you still happy?

    Do you mind sharing what you have done as far as audio upgrades go?

    PAC unit is working great so far, originally I ran 3 sets of RCA cables from PAC to DSP which gave me Front, Rear and Sub output, now I have the optical TOSLINK adapter but this configuration only gives me R/L and I lose the option of Sub knob adjustment. Since I've only had this installed a very short time I don't have any real feedback, I need to spend more time tuning but I can say there is no real noticeable difference or benefits to optical unless your having interference on the cables. My Helix DSP does allow independent volume adjustments for each channel but who wants to plug in a laptop in order to tune down the sub or rear fill!

    My previous amplifier was Gladen C5 5 channel amp with about 130w @ 2 ohms for door speakers and 500w sub @ 2 ohms, no slouch in power but recently I switched to all class D PPI Phantom's which do tend to have a lot more power but consume more current then the Gladen. Now I am at about 225w per channel @ 2 ohms, sub is running 750w @ 2 ohms which gives me a little more flexibility, I have noticed higher volume has a cleaner signal which is what I really wanted.

    If anything changes I will keep you updated.

    no. the limited production of the first gen raptors wasnt enough for major manufacturers to spend r&d money on a replacement for the oem screen.

    Well after reading 12 pages of posts I think you guys are speaking a foreign language. I only understand some of the small words.

    If I approach my local install shop what buzz words do I throw out to make them think I know more than I do and how should they respond?

    I have a 2014 SCREW, not sure if it is even stock as I have found quite a bit of Southern engineering (don't take offense as I too am from the South and can duct tape with the best of them) in other places on my new to me truck . Along with poor hearing but very small amounts of road noise I can't understand half the words being spoken.

    I will have to repair in stages so where should I start and what do I ask for?

    NO unlimited budget here as about $4000 spent getting it in shape already and my Christmas fund is gone.

    So I asked the question elsewhere and should've asked here. Can I hook up a external speaker through the Bluetooth on the radio to put in my truck bed? Do they make a speaker big enough to sound decent at a rally?

    The factory Bluetooth on your radio is for receiving signals not transmitting, so no. But you could put a Bluetooth transmitter on a "Y" splitter from any RCA signal to transmit and not loose must on signal strength.

    I did not know that. Thanks for the info. I have a couple of local higher end audio shops around here and I will ask.
