Year to Year Changes

I thought it would help others, when shopping for a new or used Raptor to know what changes there are from Year to Year. I hope I have this correct, feel free to add and correct where needed.

2010 1st production year

1. Early production only available with 5.4L
2. Mid to late production 6.2L was an option.
3. Late Production change from single to dual post floor mats

2010 to 2011

1. Added Telescopic Steering Column
2. Added Select shift gear selection
3. Added an Extra Clutch Disk to tranny
4. Added Screw Cab
5. Added 36 Gallon Fuel Tank
6. Added Hood Graphic
7. Added 6.2L badge to doors
8. Changed Instrument cluster Color and style also added productivity center display (SD Style)
9. 6.2L Now standard, and only engine available
10. Changed from single post to double post floor mats
11. Added Ingot Silver exterior color
12. Deleted and discontinued the 5.4L
13. Limited Run of Ebony Black Exterior Color
14. Added Power folding side mirrors
15. Auto up and down front windows
16. Added 110 outlet in rear console panel
17. relocated pedals adjust from dash to steering column

2011 to 2012

1. Added New Style Wheels
2. Added Torsion Front Axle
3. Added new Blue Accent Interior
4. Deleted Orange Accent Interior
5. Change plastic door sill (Plastic Diamond Plate) now has the word “FORD” on it
6. Deleted Door sill protectors from painted area
7. Deleted Molten Orange Exterior Color
8. Added Race Red Exterior Color
9. New Bed side Graphic
10. New Brushed Aluminum interior Trim, Replaced Chrome
11. Added Cooled seats to Luxury Package, for 2012 you have Heated & Cooled seats
12. New Front Camera (Navigation required)
13. Hood graphic RAPTOR is gloss black not bleed through
14. Added Homelink Visor (Garage Door Control)
15. Changed from heat stamp raptor seat logo to embroidered
16. Changed valve covers from magnesium to plastic.
17. Increased highway mpg rating from 14 to 16.
18. Added HD radio
19. Added SYNC Mobile apps recognition, such as Pandora, Sync Destinations

13. New 600hp 6.2L.... JUST KIDDING!!! It's only 550hp :)

Well, I didn't know the 2011s had a telescopic steering column. I've been wishing for one of those since the first day I got my truck.

They added the garage door opener system to the visor. What year and what do they call it?

Good catch. It's for 2012 and I believe it's called HomeLink or something.

Also, you shouldn't say that the Heated and Cooled seats were added for 2012. Only the Cooled... Might get confusing for others.

in 2011 didn't Ford have a short production run of Ebony Black Raptors during the time when the Japan Paint plant was down?
