Wrap vs. Paint

Here at the shop, we wrap all our trucks:

My truck is wrapped in Xpel Stealth, which is actually a paint protection film and not vinyl. I was quite surprised how tough the stuff is when the guy who did it gave me a sample to mess with.

The stuff is way harder to scratch/tear than it would be to ding the paint.

I did manage to put some scratches in it at SnoBall #2, but, I skipped off something when I was driving down the ditch trying to get a good picture. It also put scratches in the plastic of the mirror on the driver's side.
