My truck just came out of the carwash with this wire hanging down. Does anyone know what it is? How do I fix it?

It looks like the sticky side dry rotted and finally came loose.

Thank you for your input,

Ed

Agree...Someone tucked an LED strip to light the Wheel Wells (and not very good). Likely have one on the other side too and possibly the fronts?? I would pop them out too, but make sure the wires that were attached are not exposed and/or grounding out...Not sure where these were connected??

That is funny. I thought it kind of looked like LED. After looking at the rest of the truck it appears each wheel well has LEDs.

Thanks for your insight.

Are these still connected? Anything wired to the aux switches? I'm guessing there was either a 12V outlet in the vehicle or connected via the aux switches. If the switches, I bet they still work. I mean, why would you disconnect if you aren't going to bother to remove the LEDS?

How long have you owned the vehicle?

The wires going to each wheel well look well installed. Attached is a picture of the wires going to the switches. Not sure if the auxiliary wires are the colored ones on the left or right but they do not appear to have been attached to anything but the light bar on the front. Last night, I turned all the auxiliary switches on to see if any of the LEDs worked off the aux and they did not.
Something tells me the Control Box with Blitz Sound Activation is not from the factory....

I bought the truck in 2019 with 25K. The GPS showed "Home" somewhere up North in PA or somewhere.
