Its interesting that googling I seem to only find upto a 285 tire. Results returned for a 315 are in Russian/Icelandic/Finnish/other Scandinavian countries.

Nothing for North America.

Hi guys,

I just joined but would like to contribute to the conversation...

Canadian Tire locations are listing Goodyear Duratracs in factory size (315/70R17) at $289 a piece and have the snowflake logo.

Also...KX Wheels in Canada (which ships anywhere in Canada and U.S.) have a huge selection of wheels and tires and competitive prices.

I have ordered from them in the past and service and quality are top notch.

Hope this helps anyone who is in a bind.

Out.

there is nothing like a dedicated snow tire.
mother nature just dumped a few inches of snow in the north east.
i usually take public trans to work in winter, regardless of weather.
i had to try out the hakkas.
wow!
snow tires make a noticable difference over a/t tires in the snow and slush for sure.

only drawback is, they will have to be swaped out when winter is over.

I had 6 Duratracs on my F350 Dually...ran them year round and didn't notice that they wore down any faster.

By far they are my favorite.

hakkas tread/compound are optimized for winter.
whats good for winter aint good for summer.
running on them year round would prematurely
wear out the tread.
the advantage of duratracs is that they are 4 season
tires.

But they qualify as "winter tires" because of the snow peak logo...for places with ****-like governments like where I live that FORCE you to put these kinds of tires on your vehicle...or face a hefty fine.
