Windshield Antenna Power

I am installing fiberglass fenders and i will not be reinstalling the factory antenna back on the fender.

i will be installing a powered antenna on the windshield.

Looking for advise on the most convenient place to pickup up 12V power for the antenna.

there is an accessory wire at the steering column. i will have to wait until tomorrow to get the wire color. i cant log on to my wiring info for some reason

I was wondering what you glass guys were doing for an antenna. I plan to have the same delimma very soon. So where on the windshield does this install? Or are ya replacing the windshield with one that has the antenna built in? Pics!

they are windsheid mount amplified antennas. it needs power and ground, and i think you also need an adapter to plug into the ford radio...

I purchased an adapter kit from metra because the factory antenna connection is different than the after market antenna.

it takes a chrysler antenna adapter. dont know why ford would use a chrysler part, but the did. it started a few years back.
