Who has actually trimmed to clear 37s?

I'm running Icon 2.25 kit with Icon 17*8.5 6mm offset and 5" backspace wheels. Toyo Rt 37*12.50*17 tires. Deaver +2 in rear. Had to trim inside front fender well with box cutter (plastic only). I rub slightly on hard right turn only.

you may be the worst fabricator of all time, sad you ruined your truck. Want me to show you how to do it correct? Or better yet, come with us on our Baja trip in August. You can see how to set up a Raptor with 37's, no charge

Curious for the folks that do slight trimming and run 37’s and off-road hard, I mean some rough stuff do you not rub and crack fenders?

I know this is about GEN2’s but with my GEN1 on 35’s, I rub the liners good when off-roading. Even though a GEN1 could run 37’s with trimming too, if you wanted to do some serious off-roading, you have to replace your fenders with +2’s or bigger, do the pinch welds and cut the bottom.

So is the trimming everyone is doing more or less for street use and preventing rubbing when turning?

Is trimmin' more to prevent rub when sendin' it into Starbucks?
I assume most run 37's for looks...even stock tires/wheels rub the rear wheel wells under compression.

I think your biggest issue will be in the rear to be honest. With those wheels and 37s you will grab the rear plastic outer fender liners when bottomed out. I have seen people rip those off over whoops

Mine resembled that remark. Ripped off the passenger rear flare and a little of the fender. Had to do some body work and replace the flare. Running Deaver +3 with no issue now.

I am also running 37x 13.5 Toyo's with a +10 offset on Specialty Forged 20x10. Had to do a lot of trimming but you can't tell since we remade the fender lining. Looks factory.

This is what we had to do to clear 37x13.50 on these fuel wheels.

The pinch welds were undercoated after this photo.

I run 37" Toyo R/Ts with stock fenders and no issues. I folded the pinch weld and removed most of my fenders liner.
