What to do with faulty Tail Lamp?

Just replaced the passenger side tail lamp on my '18 Raptor. Tasca didn't have a core charge on the replacement so now I have the old one I don't know what to do with. Hate to throw it away, cost $810 replace. Glass is good as it was throwing a B1266 for intermittent brake light operation. Are these repairable? Will Ford give me a core charge refund if I turn it in to them?

Man, I swapped one out because water was getting in and threw the old one away, hopefully you can maybe recover a few bucks…

I had water in my 2018 Raptor tail light. Caught it before any damage. Drained out the water and let it sit in the sun all day. Once completely dry, I caulked the entire seal surrounding the lens with high quality clear window seal. Let it cure and reinstalled. Problem has not appeared after heavy rain and washings.

The plastic is perfect on this one, just an LED for the brake light is out/intermittent. Has anyone been able to pull one apart successfully? If I can get it opened, I can repair it.

I've opened headlights before by baking them and prying the lens off. It was a real pain, never doing that again. I would suggest just throwing them on ebay as a broken part and see what you can get.
