what forscan adapter are you using?

can't get it to work for the life of me. got the yellow light, but can't connect to the vehicle


now i'm pissed and annoyed. sent it back. which are most using out there? tips?

I have the OHP ELMconfig FORScan OBD2 USB Adapter and have had no issues - works perfectly every time. And it's reasonably priced at $27.95


Tip - don't do the Bluetooth models.

OK...no laughing at the stupid guy... but what does this actually do? Pardon the ignorance...

Allows you to program the truck to perform different features, check diagnostics, clear DTC codes, etc.

There is some useful stuff for someone that doesnt want to do anything crazy like: Lincoln Mirror Mode (where it folds the mirrors on lock, and unfolds on unlock), showing temperatures above your gauges on the info clusters, and on and on.

Good point gdestiny... I too am running a Mac with boot camp. The adapter I referenced above works with Mac (in boot camp) and Windows machines.

so a mac with crossover should not be an issue
