My 18 normal mode feels low on power cruzing around.

Sport mode hangs in gears and doesn't shift unless I'm on the throttle. Down shifting sport mode is also clunky sometimes.

Normal mode just doesn't feel like a performance truck. It would be nice if normal mode was a little more performance oriented and Sport mode had a better tune.

Skipping gears would be ok if it's seamless. 8-10 speeds are unnecessary unless your towing monster loads.

Have you had Ford reprogram the PCM? I know it applies to 2018 models, and I am pretty sure it applies to 2017 also. The 2018 TSB is here:

This reprogramming changed my 2018 dramatically when in Normal mode.

T!

Mine has been reflashed. My sport mode shifting is clunky as all hell. If I’m WOT it shift fine. If I’m part throttle to even getting into it but not wot 2-3-4 shifts with a hesitation/lunge.

Lol. It feels like it goes into neutral for a split second then bangs into the next gear rather than just shifting. It’s embarrassing.

Mine was “born” a few days after the cutoff for the reflash. According to Ford, it’s normal.

If Cobb could fix that garbage, I don’t care if they skip shift or not.

My 2017 shifts worse than an old John Deere tractor. I honestly cannot stand it. I should video how bad my 17 shifts.
I'd be interested in watching it out of curiosity. I've heard others complain, but mine has been perfect since day one. Build date 11/07/16. Mine's much better than the 6 speed in my old 2014.

Interesting. Idk my build date, how do I find that? I can take a video. It’s embarrassing.
