Sure hope not, I'm doing mine next week with ~29K. 6 qts of fresh ULV fluid to replace whatever I get out and a new filter. Kinda like an early oil change on a new motor, get all the early wear-in materials out, freshen up the additive package, then I should be good till 100k.

If you wait 'until there's a problem' it's too late for just fluid to fix it. New tranny time.

My problem is...

I have heard that before. That the fluid is a life time fluid. But I don't see how that is possible when the engine does not have life time fluid and they all have mechanical movements.

Yep, there’s no such thing as a true “lifetime” lubrication. For Ford and other oems, lifetime lubrication means that the lubricant lasts until the device fails, then the lubrication is “dead”.
A reasonable interval for drive system lubrication changes is 60k-100k miles.
