Pin wasn’t stuck and we can’t find any reason for the problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Pins, calipers, lines all function properly.
Well in that case I don’t know. Typically you would think either a stuck (now unstuck) caliper or something lodged between the pad and rotor (like debris). Maybe it couldn’t handle your “Bo Duke” hard braking?

Maybe it was just a bad pad. Like I said earlier, my dumb luck. SH!

I have a ride that imo was built to leave digging and stop dragging. I really don’t beat on her though. There is a fine line when leaving a red light between leaving with traffic or leaving traffic. I don’t attempt to stop for yellow lights, my doggie gets rocked and rolled enough as it is. I do, however, hope every red light will turn green before I have to use the brakes. Therefore, I can embrace the “Bo Duke” statement, although I’m a Daisy.

I was out for a brake test today and saw this Gen 3 37 beauty. Yes I expect flack from some, it’s cool. I love lots of vehicles, but I proudly own this Gen 1.

Sorry I didn’t get your name. PM me, especially if you get that R. I’m sure you’ll succeed. AND nice leaving there. D3D3568A-24E5-41E6-B1A5-EDD579FA5F88.jpeg 938F2E21-2217-4093-8C31-D5D34AB229A5.jpeg AA472830-101D-4623-9F36-A8F4D62E67DF.jpeg 1812C07E-6A95-4A5F-95C1-00D1E0E5ED81.jpeg

Did the brake pad brake caliper shim slide over into rotor?
Didn’t find anything except for the unusual wear around the edge. Everything functioned normally when it was taken apart. I have new pads on the front (both sides) and 3 drilled and slotted rotors and one drilled with very little slotting left due to the unfortunate need for that rotor to be turned.

ok just figured something to check , have seen rotors gouged like that from it happening.
Thanks any help is appreciated. That same corner had a bad brake line when I bought it so those, again on both sides, are only about two years old. Fortunately it’s repaired and I’m back to terrifying other drivers.

Had my oil changed today at the dealer...nothing special about that.
However, while waiting, I went over to look at the new trucks, every one had a $25K ADM.
The day I bought my 2014 SE, there were only 6 left in my state and I got it for $500 under MSRP.
I'm figuring I could sell mine for the same price I bought it in 2014.
