Oil change at 70k. Also am mid way through a coolant flush. Drain radiator, add distilled water, run until thermostat opens, let cool, repeat until water is clear. Almost there after probably 8 cycles. I did add a bottle of Prestone flush during the first fill. A few more tomorrow should do it. Then I’ll repeat the process but add coolant until I get the correct ratio. I’ll probably waste about a gallon of fresh coolant doing it this way but I didn’t care for the other methods I saw online. I also cleaned the brown sludge out of the overflow bottle.

Still on the list is installing rear shocks, power steering flush and brake flush, fluid changes for differentials and transfer case then I’ll be at “square one”.

I did the front shocks a few days ago. Not too bad at all, just time consuming. Second one took about 1/2 the time as the first after I realized what to do and what not to.

Went out for a fathers day drive up into the Ashnola / Cathedral lakes area. First time going into this area, very beautiful spots for camping along the river. Too many people/vehicles to have any real fun though.

Last night i had to replace my door lock actuator in the drivers door. The latch would fall down when opening the door and wouldnt allow it to close unless you flipped it back up. Lock/Unlock worked fine so must have just gotten weak. no more banging the door off the striker anymore.
