Replaced 2nd heated set element today driverside 79,513 miles, burnt in same spot as first.
Another post Covid-19 project series; first, a oil/filter change and second, the upgrade to a Saudi-transmission cooler. (Which should have been a standard Raptor part).
I did mine at 125,000 miles, still okay at 150,000, you using yours to heat the whole inside or just your ass? lol
You got 125,000 out of yours? cool, first time dealer gave me run around at 16,000 so I did the job, and now at 79,513 driver side both times.
Yeah, a member on here posted "a how to", was easy to do on my scab and cheap. I don't use the heated seat much I guess, I know they are a weak issue for the drivers seat. I wish I only had less than 80k on mine.
Got out the wire brush and sander, cleaned up the rear hitch and hooks, they were looking like crap, painted with gloss black Tremclad.
Then got all worried and paranoid after @FordTechOne said the cab corners rust out, so sprayed another can of fluid film everywhere under the rockers and scab corners. Should be good for another winter on the "Highway thru Hell"
I can see the excessive fluid film and I love it.
Plastidip my rear oval.
Made it get along with a Gen2
