You didn't like the look of the Rebounds or?

Oh I did and it was a hard decision. What I liked about these originally was the 3640lb load rating but then see that Method clarified the matter and now shows that is for the 8 lug version. The 6 lugs are 2650lb, 100 less than the Rebounds. I’ve bent 4 wheels so far and getting tired of it, so hopefully these will hold up that I made a decent decision. The new ‘Bead Grip’ tech is cool so it should help with airing down. And its a cleaner looking wheel without the fake bead-lock look with a bunch of bolts crevices to keep clean.

I am going to Baja again in March, long haul to Cabo so we will see.

Replaced rear brakes and pads with R1 Geomet slotted/drilled rotors and Posi-Quiet pads. Replaced the entire parking brake assembly (MA truck, everything was rusted/frozen - pivots were completely frozen; fortunately the backing shields were in good shape); installed Russell Speedbleeders.

It was obvious that the previous owner hadn't done a brake system flush in a very long time, if at all - fluid was an atypical greenish-amber color - so full system flush with Motul 600 resolved that. Speedbleeder operation made the job insanely quick, easy, clean.

Brakes feel much improved, parking brake now releases fully and cleanly - can't wait to get the fronts done and replace the brake lines with braided stainless.

The Raptor Restoration Project continues...

Great, dropped it off at the dealership yesterday to have them do a list of work.
1. Install transmission wire harness
2. Check play in steering
3. Oil leak still (they just redid the timing chain cover as they thought that was were it was leaking)
4. Engine overheating when running hard off-road
5. Sunroof leak
6. Drivetrain clunk
7. Driver side headlight

Get a call today finally and they need it till next week as they are not done with the list. I am told they are ordering a new Steering Rack and the Heads need to come off to replace the gasket for the oil leak. They have not figured out the overheating issue yet. Thank goodness for the Ford PremiumCare ESP and should be in a loaner tomorrow.

Working crew last night in their shop was installing lights and dropped their tool on my windshield and broke it. Getting a new one now. Good thing, my windshield had two chips that I had fixed and was pitted from off-roading.

Scored a great deal on a used Rogue Rear Revolver bumper w/rear sensors and complete with Rigid back up lights, less than a year old for $800, thank you Ross Hall. Went to pick it up at Krazy House Customs in NJ. Unfortunately Rogue powder coating and prep sucks. I would not be the first to attest to this....so I dropped it off to New Age Powder in Sewell NJ, my home town. It was completely disassembled, stripped and powder coated matte/gloss black. All silver rivets were replaced with gloss black and silver rogue inserts were powdercoated gloss black....
I will have it installed Monday, picks to follow.98a8557fd0ba2d2c88d8f447ea17ab63.jpg
