6.2 Wanting to change exhaust (OPINIONS PLEASE)

My roush with no resonator is pretty loud. Too loud actually and it drones. I am looking to add a resonator or switch it out all together.

Installed Corsa Sport with Black Chrome tips and it’s perfect IMO. Growls at start up, mean only when you hit the throttle and zero drone at cruise. That V8 growl needs to be let loose at times in today’s prissy V4/V6 world

I like my Borla exhaust, it rides high and tight and has held up well to the elements in seven(7) years.

I got my Magnaflow from 4wheelonline. It has a deeper tone and no drone at all.

I had the Roush as well and you're right - too loud and drone. Just installed the Ford racing (Borla) and it fit like a glove. No drone, not too loud but sounds great when you're on the gas.

Looking to get flowmaster super 10 muffler with y pipe and either no cats or high flows. Stock headers (for now). Dumped before the rear axle. How do y’all think it would sound?

It will drone like crazy IMO. Get what you pay for, Corsa seems to have the best/least big bore drone. Also, I prefer higher pitched and raspy vs deep motor boat sounds like Borla.

Here’s my latest setup. Straight 3.5” right out the side!

I do not recommend dumping under the truck, drone is one thing but it just sounds more like a cheap old truck with a broken exhaust when you are normal driving. Sure at wot it’s fun but any other time it just has a “cheap/broken” feel. IMO

also I can most def say that the 3.5” pipe carry’s a much deeper and “powerful” note than the 3”. As far as perf goes I’m sure there is some scientist that will say 3” is better cause of pressure but I’m just talking about sound.

SOUNDS BADASS!! Also dumping under the truck leads to exhaust in the cabin a bit more and depending on how long it idles and wind you could be sucking more exhaust than usual...
