Great write-up Ducati. As far as looks are concerned, that CAI is sharp!

I must admit, I haven't done much homework on these since there are still very limited options for the 6.2, so correct me if I'm doing it wrong, but as to the mudding/dust concerns, depending on the type of filter used, couldn't you just slap on a filter sock before you hit the dust?

I tried ordering one of these and they told me they didn't make it for my filter.
Talk about a load of crap.

I think it would only help. It only draws air through the front part of the filter so Im sure you could modify a filter sock to fit it.

Volant is making one for the 6.2L When it will be released Im not sure.

You can always cut up some ***** hose and stretch it over the filter...that's how we used to do it in the day racing motocross.

I agree, and it could be modified (although I don't need the visual of Bstoner without his pantyhose on :) ).
I have issues with the air port location - I had to climb out of a mudhole and into a puddle a few weeks ago - and although I was barely axle deep - it sucked mud/water up the port located on the wheel well.
I couldn't fathom putting a snorkel on this truck - but will be looking into re-plumbing the air inlet location before I go play again.
