TSB addressing SYNC voice recognition concern

Thanks FSM06! I was looking for the pic I saw someplace. In the pic I saw the microphone looked a lot bigger and the wire was exposed... it was in a small car of some kind.

Wonder if the new 6.2's coming out of the factory will have this already done......

I took it in they are ordering the new microphone (says thats the new location) and had the update installed. Also fixing my sunglasses holder and a noise in the tailgate. Probably have to wait until next week to get the moicrophne installed.

Thanks for letting us know Brian. That's a good point. I wonder if we should call our dealers first and talk to them about the TSB so perhaps they can order the part(s) so they have them when we bring our Raptors in? Better that than taking them in twice - I don't have time for that.

yes I had a few other tid bits I needed fixed so they did that but ordering takes about a week I guess.

Side note: updating the SYNC is an hour charge for labor if the dealer does it because the customer has access via the internet and the flash drive Ford sent in the mail. They gave me a freebe but I thought I would put it out there for everyone else.

You didn't get the flash drive in the SYNC packet? It came with info on how to download updates and install them on your unit via the USB port. I'll try and get a pic of the packet up later today for you.

BTW it came in the mail about 2 months ago not with the car.

Was it a plain jane flash drive, or did it have an SVT logo or something like that on it? Just curious...

plain jane in a little SYNC marketing package givng basic instructions on how to update the system
