First 40K trans oil change. Also replaced the oil cooler with the larger one. And installed the larger B&M pan along with a new filter.
Drained 7.5 quarts, replaced with 8.75 quarts + the 3.25 quarts for the deeper pan, for a total of 12 quarts.
Utilized a 20"x30" drain pan I had built. Not a drop of oil on the floor.

For those that have the B&M Dipstick, to facilitate an easy transmission fluid refill, I utilized a nylon barb fitting with o'ring and a thin wall 1/2" ID hose attached with a medium sized funnel jammed in the hose.

The fitting is 11/16 x 16 TPI straight thread shortend 1/2". McMaster-Carr #5218K682. Anything smaller and the refill is painfully slow.

Even at 40K miles, the oil was nearly black. Can't imagine going longer miles before a change.

Utilizing the B&M deeper transmission pan with its 3.25 more quarts and the larger oil cooler, the transmission oil temperature has dropped about 10 to 15 degrees.
Do you do alot of offroading? any noticeable difference in tranny feel with the temp change?
