Folks,

Saddens me to say this, but I do have the wrench light on the Raptor. Last few times I've driven it, it shifts very hard into 5th and just this morning it took a long time to get to 10th gear and I had to put it in manual to get it to 10th a few times. It is officially in limp mode.

I'm looking for a great dealer in the DMV AREA. I need a dealer who has fixed or handled issues with transmissions like these before. These are my options thus far.

I think Ted Britt has the biggest / most robust service dept.

Cheers.

This shit sucks, Ive called three other dealers and apparently ford only does 4 days loaner and only up to 10 max days. Also, some of the dealers dont have their own vehicles, its based on renting from outside sources such as enterprise and I pay up front.

I dunno how long to get the ******* rental for. Jesus.

So it still drives, just goes into limp after being put into sport mode or if I drive it too aggressively. By aggressively, I mean makie it go down in gears too quickly.

Either way; I called the dealer where its going and made sure that they have transmission experience with this 10 speed. The boost is high... or its using a lot of boost in like 6/7th gear vs going down into 3rd or 4th... like to offset going down in that gear.

I agree with Ted Brit recommendation, in Fairfax VA. Several years ago I had major transmission work done on a commuter ford focus I had, they gave me a rental for the full 3 weeks they had it.

Good luck, call Ford customer support and make sure the transmission issues are recorded along with milage In and out of the shop.
