^^^ LMAO I don't think people get as stirred up as they used to, but damn I remember some heated 5.4 vs 6.2 threads.

Simple, if it's sitting at a gas station or being followed by a tanker truck- it's a 6.2.

So is there a way to tell the difference between the 6.2s and 5.4 raptors from the exterior? I was under the impression that all of the 6.2s had a badge on the doors. Is this correct? There are a couple of raptors in my area, none that I have seen have the 6.2 badge.

The secondary spark plug wires are a dead giveaway if you can spot them through the fender wells. I think the question should actually be "How do you know it's a 5.4?", in that case, all 6.2 Raptors have the body colored mirror caps.....they were only available with the luxury package on the 5.4 trucks.

I just figured out that the RPM redline is different between the two. If you can take a peek inside, the 5.4 starts at 5500 and the 6.2 at 6000.

When I got my 2010 6.2 Raptor I hated the thought of people thinking it was the 5.4 so I bought the 6.2 badge name plates from Ford, part number BL3Z-9942528-B. At the time they were $35.00 a piece. This way the prius drivers know I can catch them and they just give up!
