In a year or 2 they will probably have rebates. There will soon be a very high cost of keeping our trucks. Remember the push is all electric by 2030 and that it’s not going to be done through supporting innovation and making it a worthy choice for the consumer. It will be done with force. Forcing gas prices up, continually increasing costs of other items etc.
But the salesperson wasn’t really being “nice” unless he asked to see your personal financial statements. Some people have plenty of money to push back and maybe you are one of them.
with the microchip shortage, i wish i could jack up prices on radios, amps, and sound processors, but then we would be doing the same thing as dealers. and people would just go to the next shop, just like people are going to the next dealer. i find it a bad business practice to do that. guess morals get in the way. i would never pay any adm on a vehicle, but i dont buy vehicles often and i dont need the newest right away.

If the ADM paid went to Ford in recognition of the insane hoops and challenges that the pandemic and chip shortage presented to them then I might be able to jump through the logical hoops to justify paying it (supply and demand), however the dealers are using this situation to extort their customers despite their only accomplishment being 'we got an allocation'.

Vote with your money, don't pay ADM.
