I’m considering the SVC Baja and the ADD PRO front bumpers. Both are frame cut bumpers, and they look nearly identical.

I had ADD bumpers on my last Raptor and the powder coating was not good. They rusted at every seam and at most welds. They claim the product is better now.

Any opinions based on experience with either companies product would be appreciated. Thanks

I just ordered the SVC baja and intercooler. Had the same bumper on my gen1 and loved it. I will be spraying it with raptor liner to protect from the winter salt.

SVCs has room for a larger light, the skid plate has more coverage.

The ADD pro bumper has a much cleaner cut of the frame horns, if you ever wanted to go back to stock.

SVC has you grind down some of the body mount, and cut the frame horns at two different angles.

After seeing some ADD bumpers in person... I kind of realized they are very nice "show" bumpers. They focus on looks more then offroad capability. That being said ADD still makes some very nice products. I personally went with SVC because I feel like they build their stuff to be abused.

Interesting comment below about ADD bumpers rusting. I figured at this pricing level for aftermarket Raptor products that these shops would have their act together.

I have a RPG Pre-Runner bumper on my gen 1 and it is the best powder-coating product I have ever purchased. 5 years and there is a slight hair size rust at the welds and that's it. Usually, bad powder-coating will show itself within the 1st six months.

I had ADD bumpers on my last Raptor and the powder coating was not good. They rusted at every seam and at most welds. They claim the product is better now.

The issues with ADD’s rusting are long gone. However, they were present in the Gen 1 truck when ADD was much smaller and had to outsource their powder coat.

Since that time, ADD does all powder in house for all of it’s bumpers. I personally have had ADD bumpers on my truck for over a year now without a sign of rust.

That said, we carry both SVC and ADD and would be happy to offer quotes and pricing for bumpers/lighting on both brands. Please let me know if we can help.

Thank you,

Nick

Thats what they told me, and offered a whopping 5% off new bumpers.

ADD Pro bumper will require intercooler relocate kit? I just purchased the ADD venom R no winch system to compliment the chase rack. Quality of chase rack exceeded my expectations. But issues getting all parts delivered.
