I would go with your third option. I found the deavers to be a night and day difference. I’ve had good luck with full length tie rods, personally I don’t see much benefit if any in the half length ones. Regardless of what you decide to do with shocks I would recommend swapping the coil buckets in the front to accommodate gen 2 coilovers. If you go with stock shocks then you can benefit from the additional travel of the gen 2 3.0. If you go aftermarket then you’ll benefit from the recirculating reservoir.
Wait, you can fit a gen 2 fox 3.0 on a gen 1 with what mod??

KHC and Camburg make conversion buckets for the front, you can check out my build thread for pics. Super easy just chop out the old ones and weld in the new ones. I would recommend it for anyone not planning to swap to a true long travel kit. Rears as Gen1 said can also be used with a conversion bracket but I would just do the RPG RST16 if you want more travel back there without cutting into the bed.

Fellas,

This seems like an appropriate spot and time frame to ask a related question with being an ******!

I have found myself in a similar situation as JJ (unfortunately without the desert as i live in AL) and have a Screw w/ 111k and ready to make some changes. Axle exchange shaft, Fox 3.0 coilovers, rebuild rear 2.5’s, Icon RXT packs, ARH long tubes with Borla Touring and S&B CAI. Ditching 5 Star (don’t beam me up) and rolling with JDM. They already sent me tune ready to go. Only thing installed is the 3.0’s in the front lol.

I bought the Icon RXT leafs and wanted to confirm that i still would use +2 shackles. Either SVC or Camburg etc. Is this correct?
So if you had 5 star and went to JDM what was the cost for JDM. I looked and it looks like 500 basically..vs like 119 for 5 star plus whatever extra tunes you want. I'm 5 star now myself and want to swap to JDM possibly...but 500 bucks for tunes only seemed high unless I'm misreading what the website shows. I have my SXT tuner so I just need tunes

You're reading it right, JDM is expensive but their tunes are worth it. Ive used them for boosted and N/A 6.2 tunes and they have been great. The trans tuning is the biggest difference I've noticed between them and other tunes.

I guess I just gotta decide if its worth the money, I've been happy with my 5 star 93 performance tune but I agree the transmission shift points at times don't feel smooth.

Yep $485 for the JDM “intelligent tune” as Jim called it. Just one 93 Oct tune for daily street, towing, haul-ass etc. that adapts to inputs in a superior way over 5star and others (supposedly). Trans tuning is def superior in the mustang from experience so i am eager to see. 5 star is snappy as crap imo

I have not installed yet as I am in line at the father in law’s mechanic shop!

What leafs did you get, +2? +3? +3 will gain you 2 inches, so if you wanna bring the rear back down 2” then yes you would need the +2 drop shackles. But you don’t have to.
Honestly don’t bust my balls too bad but I am not sure. It was Icon model number 95220 on stupid dumb sale so i had to snag it
