Just bought my 2014 Shelby with Whipple SC...it was owned by a guy who drove it daily (and kept it LIKE NEW).It had 50K on it and I've since put 3K,and it runs like a bat out of hell...So,cant say what the next 50K will be like, but if its like the first 53K,I'll still be driving with a shit eating grin...Have had more than 1 "Pick-up",want to "race" when on Hwy,I just look at them with that grin and laugh....you dont need to prove your King Of The Road when your driving a Supercharged Raptor.....Just do it...you will not regret it...LOL!

Yes. The forged oil pump is a weak part that likes to break when you start beefing this stuff up. A shattered oil pump likely means a blown engine...
Mine was fine for 25,000 miles with the Roush Stage 2 and stock pump, but now that I'm going farther it was time to upgrade. I went with the new Melling, but a couple vendors here sell the other common one - https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP701108.

It's a BEAST of an install and you'll wish you'd done it before the supercharger. This pic isn't even there yet...

I just upgraded to the billet oil pump gear when I did my whipple install, definitely gives me some more peace of mine, just took a bit of time to get to it.

I should have. And I'd recommend to anyone to do it at the same time. You did it right.

If Roush was willing to put their name on a S/C version of the truck, using the stock engine internals, I'd be good with it too. At least at the boost levels they sold them at. They know what they are doing.

At the Boost levels Roush puts out with the Stage 1 pulley, you are absolutely right. Problem is that it's so easy to upgrade some stuff and get more! That's why I'd just do it.

The gear itself was like $300, idk what a shop would charge to install, I did it myself, definitly a bit of time, have to pull all the front accessories, valve covers, timing cover, and timing chains off to remove the oil pump then reassemble it all

It's a lot more to install it AFTER the supercharger has already been installed since you have to remove the supercharger to install it!
