for love bug area, try the boiling water method. worked like a charm on my Xpel (on other vehicle).

just pour super slow onto the scratch / marked area, the film SHOULD heal itself.

I don't think you are being **** at all, you paid good money for a good product and did not get what you paid for. Ask for a refund and go elsewhere. Not sure what a "Love Bug" is but glad we don't have them here.
