I want something I don’t have to change as often.
I agree. It’s way too difficult to do. And time consuming. And expensive. And every 30k miles is so often it makes you crazy. Totally makes sense to spend a bunch of time and money to triple that interval. Plus you can risk your warranty if your dealer is a d i c k. But that’s so rare. I’d say it’s a slam dunk. Go for it.

Take the 45 seconds it takes and bang out the stock filter occasionally

Curious if there’s a noticeable sound difference with a closed box setup like that, never could bring myself to do it on my G2, but the G3 doesn’t have the same turbo whistle as my ‘18 with the silencers/flow things in the tubes removed… missing that whistle!
