there was a time when a dash kit was not available. it was a weird situation because at one point there was an entire assembly available, but then it disappeared off the market. now there are companies that make just the dash bezel where the screen goes and keeps all the oem buttons and dash. its basically just a trim bezel where the screen is now.

yes, the idatalink maestro will retain the buttons. the solution hasnt always been available so in the past, maestro was not compatable. however they have resolved it and no issues with radio replacements on 2012 and older units
I suppose the idata link and maestro solve the problem?

I have dual climate controls. Do you have the same dash I do (Sony factory nav/stereo)? If so the same stuff will work.
