The Rear bumpers are now available! The hitch is also optional and can always be added at a later time. The Rear Baja bumper retains factory lights , your spare key lock and spare tire, the trailer light/brake controller, and the back up sensors when applicable. These come pre tabbed for rear facing chase lights. We also supply the black trim for the rear fender once the dovetail is completed.

More details and pricing can also be found on our website at SVC Baja Rear Bumper

Hope you guys enjoy!

I have a couple questions. Where do you relocate the trailer light/controller plug to? And when not using the hitch how is the plate secured, just screwed in like normal? Last question sounds a little silly I know. I just ask to see how secure the plate will be mounted since I have learned the hard way that you can blow the stock bumper apart and lose your plate if you hit water hard enough. Oh and one or two of your buddies will then run over that portion of your stock bumper too.

When a hitch is purchased with the bumper we supply these spring loaded plate flippers. sorry for the crappy pics. The spring rate on these is pretty high so I would not be worried about it falling off under any circumstances. The trailer light connector is also in the attached pictures. For me it is easier to show how it all works rather then try to explain.

Perfect, thanks for the quick response and the pictures. Now I just need to decide when I need one and if I feel like dovetailing my bed on my own.

Is this bumper bolt on? And do any other mods have to be made to install or just replace with the factory one?
Thank you

We do reccomend dovetail and trimming the rear frame however it will directly bolt on with out doing these mods.
