Explain this fiberglass bedside? Any link to what this means. I've never had GEICO, Progressive or AAA car insurance. Do they give a runaround on things, or very easy to deal with during claims? Allstate makes filing a claim so easy, I'm inclined to pay a premium for peace of mind. Like their jingle says, "Your in good hands with Allstate". My bologna has a first name. I am stuck on band-aid as band-aid is stuck on me.
Fiberwerx is another.

Normally installation is the expensive bit on bedsides, but since you'll be doing that anyway it is kind of sunk cost. Might as well get the flared bedside to accomodate a wider stance while you're at it. One step closer to 4-link and tubing out the entire rear.

Ouch! No one driving by could help? How long did it take from calling them to the truck back on the road?

After you get it fixed, I would shop your insurance with any independent agent. Normally you can find substantial savings on the exact policy every 4-5 years.
Thats the worst time to leave. Do it now before they see the claim haha

Allstate says $4085. They will cut away the right rear quarter and weld the new one back in place. I guess these pieces are easy to come by according to the body shop I took it to. Was weird, the body shop guy here in Bozeman Montana says if the bed was aluminum, the body shop couldn't work on it. Is there something special about aluminum that I'm missing? Specialty body shops only could mean a long drive for guys who own Raptors in remote places like Montana. Owning a Porsche seems like a waste in Montana as well, the closest dealer is in Washington state. You learn quickly some of the disadvantages of living in a sparsely populated region of the US. Being able to order an AR 15 from Georgia is one of the benefits.

I've never heard of a bed getting "welded" in. Besides are nothing more than spot welded, you just drill out the old spot welds and the panel just pulls off. On the gen 2's all of the body panels are seam sealed and has what looks to be pop rivets and I recall when the aluminum bodies came out it was a big deal as nobody knew how to repair the bodies as they did with steel. Also seen a f150 owner go through a car wash and the antenna got snagged and ripped the fender open like a can opener

Not your exact situation, but I just installed McNeil Racing fiberglass bedsides on my truck. Removed bed, drilled spotwelds, did a bit of metal trimming to get bodylines all lined up, reinstalled fiberglass with SS nuts/bolts. Project took 7-8 hours start to finish. Most of the time is spent lining everything up. There are 20-25 Spot welds holding each bedside on, but it only takes maybe 10-15 minutes to drill them all out, metal is very thin. Easy project and the bedsides are around $500 for the pair. Shipping sucks due to size, but I live in so cal so I chose to pick them up at their San Diego facility.

I travel for work and have had two vandalism claims from California to Memphis with Progressive. The claim process was much less of a hassle than I expected. Called them up loaded for bear. Didnt even get a shot off. There was a warranty issue through Caliber Collision, but even they were very accommodating. Overall experience was 4/5 stars.

I had to have the driver bed side replaced after rear-ended, there was no welding on it, they riveted it all back together-if you look between the cab and bed gat towards the bed you can see the long line of rivets. Same as the rear by the tailgate. It was actually easy for the shop, it was the parts that were steep (especially the taillight with BLIS).
