A bit icy/snowy at the time, I was in 4X4 high, and slid off the road. Got tangled up in a bunch of downed timber and had to get a tow recovery to pull me out. Friggin 2800 bucks for a recovery. That being said, the rear quarter panel of the truck bed has a massive dent. Looks like the truck bed is a one piece unit. Will the body shop just cut out the damaged side and weld a new one in place or will they replace the entire truck bed? I'd assume my lift gate will just go on new truck bed if they do a full replacement. Its a 2012 with 49,000 miles on it. Not sure if there is any under carriage damage, but the truck did pretty nicely for the predicament it was in. Any input is appreciated.

Welcome to the place, you'll need to show pictures, if you want us to judge the damage appropriately. Did the inside of the bed get damaged? If not, the body shop will only replace the one side damaged or they may look for a used box, if possible. They are pretty much glued on these days, anyway, easy job, just will need trim pieces as well, such as the top rail and wheel moulding. Did you have graphics on the side? Will end up being 4-5 k anyway.

Welcome to FRF!
Glad you’re ok. The Jen Juan should be a little more forgiving to work on than the Aluminum Jen Too.

Hopefully it won’t turn into some epic repair.

Here you go. I'll take an inside pic as well. Ignore the dirt :) No good car wash places in Bozeman MT, only thing I miss about Northern CA

That thing is twisted up pretty good. Somebody posted a used box on Facebook messenger recently on here, so they are are around. Is this covered under your insurance? There’s going to be some inner panel issues as well, so might be cheaper to look for a new box. If you are doing it yourself, get all new bed bolts and nuts.

You can see the inside panel is all warped as well, so its going to be expensive to repair. Hope you have insurance, if not, get a used box like @Rep732 showed above or similar. Keep us posted.
