You could fab up a gusseted bracket and attach it to one of the “zinc color, bolts, either below or above the visible headlight assembly attachment mount. Then run a rubber line replacing the one visible on the bottom right of the cooler. If any of that makes sense
That vertical side tank on the radiator is interesting... it's not designed for cooling trans fluid; it's actually for preheating it by passing next to the coolant lines. Since I'm not in Antarctica that's prolly not important.. and I could just bypass that tank and run the filter line in front of it instead.. right?

You could. Be curious what the trans temps would be on average. Or you could just run it, filter, in line off that lower hose into the bottom of the tank.

I'm going to contact the company and see if they have sample images for this application. It's a Ford product, designed originally for the 6R80, so they must have some sort of engineering drawing for an install with this configuration of radiator side tank & front mounted cooler. Even the cheapest F150: (standard cab/2wd/V6) must have had the smaller cooler from the factory. If they designed around that, they might actually have a preformed hose & some sort of bracket to mount it where those zinc bolts are. The factory rubber air deflector sheet is missing; maybe the filter mounted in front of it?

Latest pictures since the brakes, chassis paint, and Cerekote on the trim.

BTW, I never got a response with an example of where that filter could fit on any V8 F150 without modifications.
