Shovels and Overlanding

hey guys-

what shovels do you guys keep in the truck? I don't know if I'm starting up an old thread so If I am...sorry and Mods please delete.

Long story short I'm looking for a good shovel to keep in my truck at all times. Either through a mollie rack or under the seats or attached to my racks.

I got the DMOS shovel...but I don't really like it...it doesn't feel sturdy even though the quality feels solid.

I like the krazy beaver...but I think its a little to crazy with all the spikes on it.

What shovel are you guys rocking?

Also what gear are you guys keeping in your truck at all times and what are you bringing when you guys are going overloading?

I bought a short one from Home Depot. I think it was $20 and attached it to my Built Right panels. Has survived 3 trips to Baja and many days of off-roading in the desert.

I carry a full-sized hickory-handled Craftsman and a folding GI shovel. I've found that moving a lot of dirt with a short shovel and a bad back is not ideal.

I’m intrigued. Does the Jen Tres shovel clunk when you use it? Obviously it has no heated handle but can you still get carbon fiber inlays in the handle?
Also, how much to get full PPF on the Jen Tres shovel?

Not sure but it was listed for $49.99 plus another $40 ADM.
