Hey all, I just picked up my Raptor a few weeks ago and its develpoed some suspension noise (thumping in the front and clanking in the rear). I took it to Ford to look it over and they said it had a modified suspension that they cannot touch. My next stop would be a suspension place but before I do, I want to ask here.

I've tried to find out what I have but figured the collective here might be able to identify it faster. From what I can tell it's still the Fox 2.0 but even the dealer was impressed with what's under my truck.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.

What year and where was the work done? Could be related to the shock electronics. Yes the factory fox are computer linked so says Ford.

Sorry, not sure where the pics went, can you see them now?

McMillan, It's a 2013, not sure where the work was done. I just bought it a few weeks ago. The dealer said these are not factory.

Looks like 3.0 shocks and an Icon bump kit. I'm hoping that the fronts are not off of a Gen 2 truck, as you would lose a bunch of wheel travel. They do look older though, it might be time for a shock rebuild in any case. Look on the Fox website, under the "service" tab at the top...

They would for sure be able to get you lined out. That's a really nice set of shocks, better than factory. You might have lucked out!

I’m a novice when it comes to suspension so take this for what it’s worth...it definitely looks like a 3.0 setup all around. Doesn’t look like they have the DSV, but can’t tell for sure. not sure about the thump in the front, but from what I’ve read about full race setups, the clanking in the rear may just be the bypass shims. (Term May be wrong) basically, full race setups are going to be noisier as the internal components do their job giving way to performance rather than noise suppression. Just a thought. Hopefully you don’t have any big issues. I’m a little jealous either way. LOL
