So, my gf bought 2 birthday cards today, jumped in my '21 Raptor and placed both cards on top of carbon fiber slider top where the wireless charger and other storage exists.

Slid the lid to open, in went one of the cards like it was eaten by the slider.

Cannot get at it in any way with my hands.

Couple of questions if anyone has an idea

1) Any reason for me to be worried about having dry paper behind there where I assume electrical componenets reside? Fire? (thats the panic in me)

2) anyone ever take the lid off or apart before? Easy to do?

Thanks in advance.

sorry for a bizarre question. lol

If the Gen 3s are anything like the Gen 2s, it is relatively easy to rake off the trim around the shifter. Removing that might give you the access to grab the card out.

Nothing in there that should get anywhere near hot enough for fire risk. No way that would pass internal validation requirements for interior.

So no reason to panic, but would get out just to not think about it lol.

LOL. Needless to say, I was less sensitive to her losing the card than potential damage to my truck. Was a fun morning. :)
