Heading down to Baja for the 1000 this Wednesday...looked at several chase/tire racks and choose the SDHQ setup.
First let me say this was my purchase, I don't owe SDHQ anything.....except an honest review...

I liked the style and the flat center between the tires, I also liked it's placement in the bed, being held down with 4 of the bed bolts used over. SDHQ states on it's webpage that they can't guarantee the quality of the rack if ordered already powdered coated, because it may get scratched up during shipping...BUT mine came packed up & shipped just fine. BTW the coating has a nice texture to it.
It came in 3 pcs that bolt together along with Gr8 bolts, washers and steel locknuts...very nice quality hardware to be sure..
Everything came together just perfect and the instructions where good. I need to add that all the welds were first class!
It also comes with 4 bolt on brackets to hold and tie down a 5 gal fuel can.
Their webpage shows a off road jack bracket bolted to the front vertical bulkhead, but I decided to bolt mine (Pro Eagle) on the horizontal flat bottom plate instead. Basically it's a game of Tetris to fit all of your stuff to the rack as you see fit....
When I get back from Baja I'll add how it all held up..Right now I'm very happy and feel it was worth the price for sure!

Ran out of time to get those wired to the #6 upfitter switch...ran the Sport with combo lens...need to reverse the lens also...wasn't paying attention when first mounting.

Have the two lights joined together into one harness, and looks like I'll go thru the bed on the passenger side plastic bed plug on the lower rt side and run the harness along the rt side frame rail up to the firewall.

I really like these (and SDHQ's stuff in general) and thought hard about going this run but in the end I had KHC build me a modular rack so I could run two up or one down (keeping the ability to use a bed cover when not on a run).

Hey, now that you've had it on for a while, any regrets?
I see you added a couple of smaller tie downs to the tires (blue) did you notice tires wobbling even with the huge mac's straps?

One more question, If I bought the rack now, and wanted to add power tank bracket later, could I get behind the forward plate with a wrench and nut to fasten the mounting bracket or is it inaccessible once the rack is bolted to the bed? (ie: would I need to pull the rack completely off to get back there?)

The extra MAC straps do keep the tires from wobbling...
I'll have to check and see how much room to get hands and bolts back behind the vertical plate...
I've got 2 Baja trips on this rack and about 1,000 off road miles with several Raptor groups and not a single issue with the rack....

You can get your hands behind the vertical face. I mounted my Pro Eagle jack mount after I had already bolted the rack to the bed and was able to get a wrench and a nut back there.

Hey @Loufish @Raptor18Actual @NOC7URN or anyone else with one. Any way you could get me the diameter of the main tube running across the front of the bed the straps wrap around? I have one coming in next week without any finish. I want to get some more tubing to fab something up so that I can get my light tower off the bed rails. I want to incorporate both together. Just wondering what I am going to be working with.
